To the Land of the Long White Cloud

Dear all

Today we caught our flight to New Zealand - country number 6 on our trip. After all the 'hard' touring of Australia I was quite frankly glad to be getting back to a bit of normality. I had sort of compartmentalised Oz as a little seven week side trip and had now stepped back onto the real journey. Please don't get me wrong it was great to see the wins, catch up with all our crickets friends and make many many more, but this trip was really about us and that had been lost during those days at the tests. So as we landed in Auckland we were both glad to be back on track. Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand and has the feel of a capital city about it despite that title falling on Wellington. We spent the evening down on the wharf having a lovely meal and then collapsed into bed to catch up with some sleep.
Not much more to say but I have a feeling I am going to love this place as much as Dean hoped. He was here on tour in 2008 and has never stopped raving about it. So lets see what happens.............
Nite all
Sara
