Around and About in Auckland

Dear all

Today we awoke fresh and hit Auckland on our little city tour. First stop was the Skytower which impacts on the skyline pretty much everywhere you are and although we decided not to go out on the platform we got some lovely external shots and picked up loads of free maps for our impending road trip. Some retail therapy (required this time) on Queen street had up both sorted for the new climate (me new ski jacket and Dean proper walking boots).

 

Then we hit the wharf again, this time just walking around taking in the atmosphere and on around most of the rest of the city. We spent the evening in a very lovely pub the Cavalier with Matt (another guy from tour) & his girlfriend Lucy and finshed off with a fantastic curry.

I think I am really going to like New Zealand!
